Monster plume of ash soars to 2.4 miles from Mount Kanlaon in the Philippines

  

Eruption sparks fears over inhalation of ash, although no injuries relating to the event have been reported.

Kanlaon volcano in the Philippines erupted on Tuesday morning, shooting a plume of ash up to 4km into the air. The explosion has sparked health concerns due to the potential ashfalls to hit neighbouring villages. Kanlaon volcano remains one of the country's most active and remains on alert level 3, with the highest being level 5
